Mini Mane Hair Tips, Care & Maintenance

Mini Mane wigs are professionally constructed wigs designed exclusively for dolls.

They are not intended for human wear. Proper care helps maintain the wig’s appearance and durability during play.

General Care Guidelines

  • Mini Mane wigs are designed for gentle, supervised play
  • Handle with care to prevent tangling or shedding
  • Avoid rough pulling, tugging, or excessive manipulation
  • Adult supervision is recommended at all times

Brushing & Detangling

  • Detangle gently using fingers or a wide-tooth comb
  • Always start at the ends and work upward
  • Do not brush aggressively
  • Avoid excessive brushing to prevent frizz and shedding

Washing Mini Mane Wigs

Wash only when necessary.

Washing Steps

  • Use cool water and a mild, sulfate-free shampoo
  • Do not soak or submerge the wig
  • Gently cleanse using a downward motion
  • Do not rub, twist, wring, or scrub
  • Rinse thoroughly until water runs clear

Drying

  • Gently press out excess water with a towel
  • Air dry only

Do not blow dry

Avoid direct sunlight

Styling & Heat Use

  • Low heat only, if applicable
  • Heat tools must be used by an adult
  • Excessive heat may permanently damage the wig
  • Avoid frequent restyling

Curly Mini Mane Wigs

  • Use lightweight, moisture-friendly products only
  • Detangle only when  
  • Do not brush or comb curly wigs when dry
  • Scrunch gently to refresh curls
  • Avoid over-manipulation

Products to Avoid

  • Alcohol-based products
  • Sulfates
  • Heavy oils, waxes, or grease
  • Excessive product buildup

Bed, Bath & Water Exposure

  • Do not bathe, swim, or shower dolls while wearing the wig
  • Avoid chlorinated water, saltwater, and hot water
  • Remove the wig before water play

Storage

  • Store on the doll’s head or in a satin bag
  • Keep in a cool, dry place
  • Avoid storing in tight containers or plastic for long periods

Coloring & Chemical Processing

Mini Mane wigs are not recommended for coloring, bleaching, or chemical processing.

Damage caused by chemical services does not qualify for replacement or credit.

Longevity Expectations

  • Light shedding is normal with play
  • Longevity depends on care, frequency of use, and handling
  • Proper care extends the life of the wig
