HAIR CARE, TIPS & MAINTENANCE

WHAT TO DO WHEN USING HOT TOOLS
  • Avoid using excessive heat it will cause irreversible damages to your wig/hair.

  • Apply heat protector when applying heat or using heating tools.


PRODUCTS TO AVOID

  • Don't use products that contains alcohol and sulfate which will dry out the hair and permanently damage the hair.

  • Avoid using too many products and excessive oils it will cause build up and weigh the hair down. Use good quality moisture rich products.

  • Any cutting or chemical processes, such as perming or coloring should be done by a experience license professional hair stylist. We do not recommend lifting or bleaching human hair: depositing color provides the best result.

 

GROOMING AND STORING HAIR/WIG

  • Always gently comb hair with a wide tooth comb, starting from the ends/bottom working your way up to the roots.

  • Lace is delicate and should not be pulled or tugged it's easy to damage.

  • If you don't know how to install a wig, lace closure, hair extensions or provide proper care for your wig or hair, it is essential that you have it done by a experience license professional hair stylist.

  • When your wig is not in use for a long period of time, store hair/wig in a Ziploc/PVC/Satin bag in a cool environment this will keep it away from bacteria and dust.

  • When your wig is not in use, for a short period of time put/place the wig on a mannequin head to make sure it retains its shape.

  • Little to minimum shedding is normal.

  • WITH proper care and maintenance hair/ wig can last over 1 year.

  • PROPER CARE IS KEY TO LONGEVITY.

 

BED & BATH TIME

  • Prior to bedtime braid hair (SEW-IN EXTENSION/WEAVE) and wear a secure satin scarf or bonnet.

  • Don't sleep with hair open. Braid your hair in 2 large loose braids.

  • SEW-IN EXTENSION/WEAVE: WE RECOMMEND when showering Braid your hair in 2 large loose braids, place a large plastic shower cap on your head entirely covering your hair to avoid getting your hair wet.

  • We do not recommend sleeping, showering or swimming while wearing the wig it may result in hair loss, breakage and matting.

  • Its essential that you avoid contact with chlorinated water, sea water, and hot water to avoid damage to your wig.

 

WASHING, CONDITIONING & STYLING INSTRUCTIONS


PRE-WASH

  • Before washing hair ensure hair is tangle free using a wide tooth comb.

WASH

  • Use good quality moisture rich and sulfate free product.

  • Do not soak or submerge wig/hair can cause matting

  • Wet/Rinse by holding the hair under running cool water.

  • Place a small amount of shampoo for in your hand, evenly and gently stroke it through the hair in a downwards motion from the roots to the ends.

  • Don't rub, message, wring or twist hair/wig.

  • Rinse by holding under running cool water until the water runs clear.

 

CONDITIONER

  • Place a generously amount of conditioner in your hand, evenly and gently work it through the hair in a downwards motion from the mid-shaft down to the ends avoiding the base and root. Applying conditioner to the base may cause shedding.

  • Leave conditioner on for 5 minutes OR follow the conditioner manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Rinse by holding under running cool water until the water runs clear.

  • Gently squeeze or use a clean, dry towel to press out and remove excess water. Do not twist or wring.

  • DON'T comb/brush hair when wet to prevent damage

  • Let Hair Air Dry in a cool place.

  • Don’t dry in direct sunlight.

 

STYLING

  • Part hair in sections

  • Style as desired

  • Do not dry your wig with a blow dryer it can dry out and damage the hair.

  • When applying hot tools use low/moderate heat and apply heat protector.

  • Flat iron or add luxurious bouncy curls (low heat settings).

 

CURLY HAIR MAINTENANCE

  • Use sulfate free, alcohol free and good quality rich moisture products.

  • Brush only when wet, with a Denman brush or a wide-toothed comb.

  • DON'T COMB OR BRUSH when hair is dry, it will CAUSE hair to tangle, frizz and shed (don't comb it more than twice a day – too much combing causes curly wigs to shed and frizz).

  • Follow the washing instructions above for curly wigs. Avoid scrunching the hair in the water. Leave conditioner on for at least 15 minutes

  • Rinse thoroughly

  • When damp, gently scrunch hair to enhance curls. For a more tamed look apply a dime size/small amount of an anti-frizz alcohol free hair serum and style as desired.

  • Keep hair moisten and apply conditioner was only minimum 3 times per week
